YASHICA FX-3 35mm SLR Film Camera Body Only Tested Meter Working Recovered w/New Seals
For your consideration is a vintage 'FX-3' model 35mm SLR Film Camera body only, by YASHICA, Made in Japan. SN: #353876.
This film camera uses 35mm film
and will accept the Yashica/Contax (Y/C) bayonet mount manual focus SLR lenses
.
This camera is very clean and in near-excellent cosmetic
condition overall
with light wear on top and bottom base plates noted.
Battery compartment is clean without corrosion and batteries are
not

I installed fresh batteries in the camera and the shutter fires at all speed settings, although accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Speeds sound right to the untrained ear.
Film winder, counter, and self-timer is working.
Flash hot-shoe is working.
Light meter works but accuracy cannot be verified.
Viewfinder is clean. Mirror pad and light seals have been professionally replaced and are in excellent replaced condition.
Film was shot and processed through this camera about two years ago.
Also included is the original body cap and original Yashica instruction booklet in good used condition
.
I recently had this camera professionally re-covered in genuine leather grain material that is identical to the pattern on the body cap. It sure is beautiful!
Also, the mirror pad and light seals were recently professionally replaced. The light seals are still very fresh and the film door takes a little 'massage' to open. It will settle with use.
This is a fine 35mm SLR film camera that makes a great choice for the vintage enthusiast or collector
