    Description

    Coming from the collection of a World Traveler, this box may well date back to the 1930s. That is the time period during which my friend and her Auntie visited China.
    An avid collector, my friend liked to purchase lovely items from all over the world and then often stored such things away for safekeeping.
    This box has seen very little, if any, exposure to sunlight. The colors of the floral design are nice and bright.
    There are two small places on the silk of the lid which show age and wear. One area is depicted in the last photo, micro-close up. The second area is easily viewed upon zooming in on the first photo. Look at the lower left quadrant of the lid to see the threads there.
    The embroidery work it detailed and finely done. The green silk lining of the box is fully intact and in terrific condition.
    The outside black sides of the box do show some white markings.
    The box is 6" in diameter x 2" high.
