VOIGTLANDER  BESSAMATIC (

1958). Serial No. 24260 ( Engraved on the inside (Photo 9). Made for less than two years. This is the Original Model and considered by many collectors to be the "Classic'" Model with Exposure "MeterMatching" needle Setting visible in the viewfinder and "Rotating f stop knob" on the rewind side.
Just set the shutter speed and film speed and you can adjust the exposure in the viewfinder.
With Excellent Color Skopar X  f:2.8 5cm. Coated and Fully Color Correct Lens Serial No. 4906061 engraved on the side of the lens.

n Exceptional Very Close to New Physical Condition.
The Excellent four element  Skoparex lens has no scratches, cleaning marks or fungus. There is a slight amount of internal dust. I am confident ir will produce excellent images.
(The Skopar lenses were "Bench Tested" at Voigtlander) and are considered to be among the shapest and very best ever made).
The Shutter works at all speeds is
Very accurate.
I am sure it will produce excellent results. The camera body has no dents, dings or scratches and only a very few slight  bright marks and almost No signs of age and handling.
The Superb Black Morrocan pebble grained Leather covering is complete and is still in Very Close to New condition.

The Satin and Bright
Chrome plating is in Very Close to New condition. The black Lacquer paint is very close to perfect.
Internally there are no signs the camera has ever been used ( I did test it with a roll of film before listing and it works perfectly!! ).
The Image in the Viewfinder is clear and focusing is smooth and  accurate. There are a few specks of dust on the ground glass. The Central "Rangefinder" image is very  sharp
.  The camera back opens and closes correctly.

Purchased in the 1960's as New  Old Stock, kept as a collectible. I used it only  for testing  before listing.
The
Bessamatic cameras
were made for only a short period of time and with the highest  precision construction.
It is considered by many
collectors to be the Very Best  early Prism SLR camera ever made!
With the advantage of "Flash Sync" at All speeds.  Almost
always found in used non working condition.

The exposure meter still works and is Very Accurate since the camera has always been kept covered and
not exposed to light except for a very brief time when photographing and the selenium cel has always been covered (See Photo 3).
