    Description

Good working and good looking 12-inch PLATTER from a Victor GRANADA model
Orthophonic wind up acoustic Victrola record player made about 1927. As you can see
in the pictures, it’s in excellent physical condition. I used to buy, repair, and sell wind-up
players when I lived in Lancaster PA, the antique capitol of the country. You don’t often
see a platter in this condition with the chrome edge nice and clean, and what looks like
the original felt too! I've replaced torn and worn felt on platters before, but this one didn't
    need it.
I bought this machine 25 years ago and have cared for it and kept it in good shape—
    indoors in a living room, not in a basement or garage—because I played it . . . a lot. I had
a collection of more than 6,000 78 rpm records, about half of which were from the
acoustic era (1895-1930) and played them on this machine until about 8 years ago when
I sold the records. NOTE: the machine this part was taken from is shown in the LAST
pictures here. It is NOT for sale, just showing you the Granada unit as it looks. I have
had it for sale on and off for years here on eBay, including the last 12-14 months with no
sale even though I had it priced very low. I hated taking it apart because it works so well,
but I have to move and don’t have room for it. So I am parting it out like this. Other parts
are being listed today and tomorrow in other auctions, including he Motor Board. Anyone
buying more than one part will have a big discount on shipping with multiple purchases
    mailed together.
