Description

Jumping Spider Babies! Phidippus Adumbratus species, red with black & white. Mom is the first 5 main pics, so you get an idea of what they will look like when they're adults.  The ones you will receive are her babies, the sixth picture and after, are the babies being sold. Keep in mind, they are small. Spiderlings are at their 4th instar at this point and rapidly growing. They are hearty and great eaters. These are obviously unsexed, and are eating fruit flies. Right now at this stage, they are black with white on their backs, but their colors will show up as they grow and their abdomens show up as a fiery-orange red color as displayed on momma spider.
Fun to watch them take notice, spot, follow, stalk and capture their prey. Watch as they attach their silk dragline to an object to hold them steady as they jump and capture their quarry. Over 70% of the time they capture their game 100% of the time. It's fun to watch them wrestle and eventually eat their food item. They're very interactive, they turn and tilt their heads in the direction of the object they see. They follow you and turn their bodies or their heads until they have you in their sight. They will hop onto your fingers or hands when put in front of them but be careful, they are really fast runners so make sure you watch them carefully.
They are feisty fun pets & are very interesting to watch, and rewarding to keep.
Handling may be up to 2 days before they are shipped. I always strive to carefully pack, and use the best shipping method and ship on the best day possible to get them safely to the buyer. We ship on Mondays & Tuesdays. If it appears that the package will not make it there on a delivery day, then we will wait an additional day to make sure its not sitting that extra day in the hands of the carrier. I can guarantee a live arrival, but you (or someone else) need to be present when it arrives. If someone is not available to receive the package and its sitting and exposed to the elements, or ends back up in the hands of the carrier then this falls out of our guarantee - keep in mind this is a live animal. If for any reason you get them and they are not alive, then you must reach to us within 1 hour of getting the package in your hands and signing for it, and pictures or video proof must be supplied. I am sorry to require this, but I must protect myself since there are unfortunately people out there that abuse this
