is a member of the brown algae family and is cultivated in warm Pacific waters. Its texture is crunchy with the flavor very much the essence of the ocean.
This excellent quality wakame is perfect for use in dishes such as Sunomono (Japanese Cucumber Salad) or Aemono or add to soups just before serving
.
A valuable source of nutrients, it is particularly rich in calcium, niacin and protein and is virtually calorie free
.
Directions:
It is
usable for salad, Sunomono (Vinegared dishes), Miso Soup, Ramen and as garnishing served with Sashimi (slices of raw fish).
For soup such as Miso Soup or Ramen: Just put it in a pot and
boil well.
For Salad, Sunomono and Garnishing severed with Sashimi: reconstitute it with water for about 5 minutes before use
