Ebony textured-wood 5-drawer jewelry chest mahogany interior brass-ship free

Description

Offered is this charming ebony black textured wood jewelry chest with mahogany interior. We believe this piece to be about 100 years old, or older. It has an Asian flavor.
The jewelry box seems to be solid wood.
The five drawers are partitioned to hold many pieces of jewelry or other trinkets.
The bottom drawer is the deepest while the top drawers are more shallow.
There are wood dividers between the drawers.
Round pull handles open each drawer. A round circle pulls out from the center. Otherwise circular pull fits flush with the metal frame.
The chest has a lock but the metal fitting above the lock has been lost.
The lock fixture bears a mark that resembles a fish. Inside the fish are the words Chubb/London. The number above the fish reads 1561184. Below the fish is the word Condon (we think).
The chest measures 17.5 inches high (44.5 cm). The width is 16.5 inches (42 cm) and the depth is 10.25 inches (26 cm). It weighs 25 pounds.
The jewelry chest is in very good condition for its years but does show some evidence of use. There is a stain on the inside bottom of the left door, which we have pictured. The textured ebony-black wood appears to have been attached in strips, which is evident in the photos if you look carefully. We do not have a key to the lock.
