Cheney talking machine company Chicago sound box reproducer patented 1916 w/box

Please look carefully at photos. Seems in very nice condition. Box included. Box is large so not sure what it would originally have contained apart from the reproducer. And i'm not sure if it is the original matching box, although they were found together.
I have not tested it for sound reproduction as i don't have an appropriate machine to test on.
