Condition: Rare, this lovely antique green lacquered box comes with brass a closure in the front and brass hinges in the back. A thin line of gold colored piping is nailed to the top and bottom rim of the lid. It is also on the top rim of the box and around the base. The piping stops at the hinges on the back. When opened the inside has black lacquer around the edges of the lid and box. The lid and box are lined with floral black satin. It measures 7.75” long, 3 7/8” wide and 2 7/8” tall. The inside of the box is 1.75” deep. It has numerous light scratches on the exterior and some of the gold coloring on the piping has worn off over time and there are also a couple of worn places on the inside lacquer.
